Start your 4-lake bike tour in Engelberg and experience a breathtaking ride through the Swiss Alps. Enjoy the spectacular views of crystal-clear mountain lakes and majestic glaciers. The route takes you from the valley station of the TITLIS mountain railway via the Gerschnistrasse, Untertrübsee, Trübsee, Jochpass, Engstlen, Melchsee-Frutt and back to Engelberg. You can hire or buy equipment in the sports shops in Engelberg. A day bike ticket allows you to enjoy the trails several times. Prepare yourself for steep climbs and exciting descents, especially on the rough gravel path to Untertrübsee, which demands a high level of fitness and riding technique. The 400 metres in altitude difference from Trübsee to the Joch Pass can be mastered with the chairlift. After cooling off in the crystal-clear glacier water of Engstlensee, there is a stretch of around 600 metres along the Spycherflue up to Tannalp. From there, the route follows a wide tarred road along the deep blue Tannalpsee lake and beautiful alpine meadows, gently descending towards Lake Melchsee. Once you reach Melchsee-Frutt, take the Melchtalerstrasse to Stöckalp. Note that this downhill road is only passable at odd hours (e.g. 11.00-11.40 am). Take the main road through the Melchtal valley from St. Niklausen to Kerns. In the village centre of Kerns, follow the road towards Stans. Once you arrive in the idyllic village centre of Stans, take the Zentralbahn (every hour at xx.24) back to Engelberg, the starting point of the tour. An unforgettable adventure awaits you!
