The deep blue Oberblegisee is one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in Switzerland and exudes a lot of mysticism because of its unexplored outflow. Wild mountain streams and wonderful alpine flora frame this natural spectacle. The hike starts at the valley station of the mountain railroad Hüttenberg - Grotzenbüel. The cable car then takes you up to 1559 m.a.s.l. There the hike begins with a gently sloping path with a magnificent panorama to the Unterstafel of Alp Braunwald. A path that leads across meadows and through sparse forests ends in the valley of the Bösbächi. A beautiful mountain path then leads to the Oberblegisee. Here you have to pause and let yourself be enchanted by the breathtaking scenery. The impressive Glärnisch massif echoes back loudly. From there, you will pass the central table of the Oberblegialp and descend to the mountain station of the Brunnenberg cable car. The cable car takes you to Luchsingen and from there you take the train back to Linthal to the starting point down the valley directly towards home.
